How IPOGrid covers IPO markets.

Sourcing

IPOGrid prioritizes primary sources. Coverage is grounded in SEC filings on EDGAR (S-1, F-1, 424B prospectuses, 8-A registration statements, 8-K listing events, and the supporting schedules), issuer press releases, exchange listing notices, and reputable market-data references for trading starts and pricing. Every filing referenced on IPOGrid is linked back to its EDGAR source so readers can verify the underlying document.

Secondary sources—trade publications, analyst notes, and market commentary—are used for context but are not the basis for factual claims about deal structure, pricing, or timing.

Deal classification

Weekly Review articles and company pages classify deals distinctly so readers do not have to disentangle them. IPOGrid separates conventional IPOs from SPAC initial offerings, de-SPAC merger completions, follow-on offerings, secondary registrations, direct listings, and administrative filing events such as withdrawals or suspensions. Dual-class share structures, insider lockup terms, and greenshoe allocations are surfaced when disclosed in the filings.

When the correct classification is ambiguous—for example, a rapid S-1 amendment that changes deal structure—IPOGrid defaults to the most recent effective filing and annotates the change in the filing timeline.

AI-assisted summaries

Some filing summaries, change summaries, and narrative blurbs are generated with AI assistance. These outputs are grounded in the underlying SEC document and are not used to introduce facts absent from the source. Human editorial review applies to anything published under the IPOGrid byline in Weekly Reviews and daily spotlights.

Corrections

If an article or company page contains a factual error, outdated deal term, or misclassification, IPOGrid reviews the underlying source and updates the content. Corrections that materially change the reader's understanding—price ranges, deal size, exchange, trading status—are noted inline with the revised fact. Typographical or non-material fixes are applied silently. Corrections can be requested via the contact page.

Independence and conflicts

IPOGrid is editorially independent. It does not accept placement fees, underwriter payments, or issuer sponsorships for coverage. Revenue comes from reader subscriptions and data access described on the pricing page. IPOGrid does not provide investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice; all content is informational and is governed by the terms of service.
